British Airways to launch flights to St. Kitts and Nevis: Following the demise of XL Airways, British Airways will start flights to St. Kitts and Nevis this winter. Weekly flights every Saturday from London Gatwick to St. Kitts will launch on 10th January 2009. Adam Daniels, Head of Leisure Sales said, This new route to St. Kitts underlines our commitment both to the Caribbean and Gatwick and re-establishes a connection between the UK and the island. The region is performing extremely well for use.
For the harder-headed investor; Nevis - which, along with St. Kitts, forms the smallest nation in the Americas - has a more practical selling point. A discreet new wave of development is taking place, but its end is already in sight. Within 4 years, Nevis will have reached its full capacity of 2,000 beds for rent, currently there are 940 & no more planning approval will be granted within its 36 square miles. It's one of the appeals of buying in Nevis now: your investment is protected because new building is finite. (The Daily Telegraph, 12.7.08)
